The Best Halloween Events in Los Angeles 2023

Get ready to raise your Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew high in the air and embrace the spine-tingling excitement of Spooky Season, because this year, the Halloween festivities in Los Angeles are igniting earlier and burning brighter!

Hold tight, because the world is finally waking up to a truth we've known all along: confining Halloween to just one measly month is nothing short of criminal! And while we might secretly yearn for Halloween vibes all year round, let's agree to bask in its eerie glory for at least two full months. The best part? This year, the Halloween spirit has been creeping into our lives sooner than ever before. By the time August graced us, stores were already donning their spooky best, teasing us with autumnal treasures and hauntingly delightful decor.

If you thought Los Angeles was going to be left in the shadows, you're in for a treat – or a trick! The city's biggest Halloween haunts had their acts together before summer even took its final bow. Nights of the Jack and LA Haunted Hayride both unleashed their tickets and plans early August! These titans of terror have already staked their claim on the spooky season landscape, each a perennial favorite that has me eagerly marking my calendar. But as the crystal ball reveals, there are two sneaky favorites returning fort this spooktacular season; Shaqtoberfest and House of Spirits Soiree.

Unfortunately, we do have to say farewell to a couple of faves this season. Both Hauntoween and Cemetery Lane will be on hiatus for the 2023 season. A major loss for the entire spooky community of Los Angeles.

However, with the thrill of the recollections of last Spooky Season still lingering, it's time to turn my gaze to the future. The 2023 Halloween events in Los Angeles promise to be a tapestry of new and bewitching experiences. This comprehensive list of bone-tingling soirées not only invites you to map out your eerie escapades this season, but also beckons you to dive into the dark corners of your local haunts. Share this SoCal Halloween bucket list with your coven, and don't forget to join me on TikTok and Instagram (@borderlinemillennials on both) for an all-access pass to my own Halloween escapades!
Oh, before I let you fly off on your broomstick, here's the final spell: I'll be conjuring up updates to this very blog as more events unfurl, so make sure to keep your cauldron stirred by dropping in frequently. May your haunting be happy and your spirits be high. Happy Haunting, my fellow thrill-seekers!
